CITY OF AUSTIN: APPRAISER POSITION OPPORTUNITY

The City of Austin is seeking a qualified individual for a full time Appraiser Senior position with Real Estate Services/Financial Services Department.  Minimum qualifications include: Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Real Estate, Public Administration, or a related field, plus four (4) years of experience in commercial appraisal activities.  Experience may substitute for the education qualification up to the maximum of four (4) years.  Plus, possess a State-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license.  The City offers an excellent benefit package providing a number of health and wellness and retirement benefits (https://www.austintexas.gov/sites/default/files/files/2022%20Benefits%20Guide.pdf).

GENERAL APPRAISER NEEDED

Small Commercial Appraisal Company in Austin, Texas is looking for an additional appraiser on a fee split basis. The commercial appraiser will be responsible for data collection, market analysis, and valuation of all new and existing commercial real property primarily in multifamily.

  • Appraisal, analysis, and review all commercial real property
  • Organize, Plan, and Prioritize Work
  • Value commercial class properties, using sales analysis, market trend studies, income and expense analysis and replacement cost online services
  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining commercial property valuation models

CERTIFIED GENERAL APPRAISER with MULTIFAMILY VALUATION EXPERIENCE

Small commercial appraisal company specializing in multifamily (Conventional and Affordable) valuation throughout TX and SE US is seeking a Certified General appraiser with multifamily valuation experience.  Full time fee split position in a hybrid remote office.  The appraiser will be responsible for data collection, market analysis and valuation of new and existing properties.

EXPERIENCED APPRAISER POSITIONS - BOWERY VALUATIONS

About the Role

We are looking for driven and experienced appraisers to join our quickly growing Valuation team. At Bowery, our appraisers are licensed and adaptable CGs and or MAIs who possess a deep subject matter expertise in one or more asset types. They leverage their experience and expertise as a resource for Bowery’s Valuation team at large, represent the valuation team while working internally on cross functional projects, and help with the development of incoming appraisers. A successful appraiser will independently produce high-quality appraisals that are consistently error-free and delivered early. They will utilize their subject matter expertise as a source of knowledge for their Pod’s junior resources and Bowery overall, and they pride themselves on delivering outstanding client service at all times. Appraisers engage with the product team to assist with software feedback and testing, and partner with our business development team as needed.

Job Outline

  • Focused on completing appraisals with your team, managing client communication, collecting and confirming market data, and supporting leadership initiatives.
  • Independently producing high quality and error free appraisal reports
  • Specializing in a particular asset type or geography, and sharing knowledge with colleagues
  • Consistently delivering industry leading client service
  • Representing the Valuation team while supporting cross-functional company initiatives
  • Assisting with Business Development initiatives and maintaining industry wide relationships
  • Keeping abreast of macro and micro industry trends within the commercial real estate space
  • Inspecting properties of all asset types
  • Working directly with our in house development team to continue to improve our technology
  • Providing feedback on Application use and improvements

Job Requirements

  • Ideally 5+ years of appraisal experience
  • A minimum of 3 year of independently producing appraisal reports for review
  • State licensure is required
  • MAI licensure is preferred
  • Advanced market knowledge of multiple asset types
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related area.
